The purpose of this module is to give you some concrete examples of how equity and accessibility can show up in (online and face-to-face) classroom practices and materials like syllabus statements, assignments, policies, and more. From the list below, choose a couple of materials to investigate further which might relate to the class you are planning. As you look at your materials, consider:

  • How does this (assignment, classroom activity, professional development, grading and assessment strategy, etc.) reflect the working definition that you are building for equity and access, and their intersections?
  • If this describes a face-to-face practice, how would you modify it for the online classroom? If this describes an online practice, how would you modify it once classes resume in the face-to-face environment?

When you’re done reviewing resources, please let us know which ones you found useful in the #equity-and-access Slack channel, or let us know if you need ideas for which resources to review.

Please also keep track of what you’re learning and how you’re thinking that it might apply to your own classroom. Your reflections and reactions will come in handy in part four! See something missing from this list? Here, you can find a form to request to add a resource to this list.
