In the #equity-and-access channel on the TLC Slack:
- Talk about a practice that you’ve seen demonstrated or that you’ve heard about in the workshop so far that illustrates your current working definition of “equity” and / or “accessibility.” This might be something that a seminar leader has done, something that a plenary speaker spoke about, something you read about / watched / saw, or something else.
- Choose a phrase or an idea from something that you read or watched this week, and tell us why it’s sticking with you.
- Write a discussion question that came up for you this week that you’d like to ask your co-participants.
- Make a substantial response to someone else’s question in the Slack channel. By “substantial,” I mean that you’re giving them some feedback, suggesting a resource, asking a question, or engaging thoroughly in some other way (i.e. saying “good point” or posting an emoji would not be considered a substantial response, though doing these kinds of things are also encouraged!)
Because not everyone will choose this option, be sure to tell everyone in the Slack channel that you’re making this response as one of your tasks for the final part of Module 1 of the workshop.
